Fraps is a Windows application that allows you to make a recording of your screen. Specifically, it works with DirectX and OpenGL games, allowing you to record your gameplay. The War Machine videos you see on our site were all recorded using Fraps and then converted for upload to YouTube.
For the most part, Fraps is a pretty simple application to use, but there are a few caveats. This section of the Book of Knowledge aims to give you a basic rundown of using Fraps to record your WoW gameplay and to then convert it for YouTube. This guide is based on my personal experience and usage of Fraps and is not the only way you can do it. This is however the method I used to create the WM videos you see here.
